Steffanie Stelnick is the new CEO and President of SCREM. Steffanie is a licensed attorney (SBN:290248) and Broker (02097575). Steffanie was born in Northridge, CA but moved to the Santa Clarita Valley at 6 months old. Steffanie left to pursue her education but moved back to raise her three children with Todd Stelnick so that they could go to the same amazing schools she did. Steffanie has been an Attorney for 8 and half years and owns her own law firm practice named Law Offices of Steffanie Stelnick. Her firm focuses in Real Estate law with an office located here in Valencia. Her firm handles everything that touches Real Property starting with Landlord/Tenant issues all the way up to negotiating Commercial property sales and issues and quiet title actions. Todd Stelnick was born and raised in the Santa Clarita Valley. He obtained a bachelors degree in recreation, management, and tourism at CSUN. Todd is the new Vice President and Secretary of SCREM. He has been flipping houses and buying and renting houses for the last 4 years. Currently he owns 10 rental properties including one commercial building in Valencia, CA. Todd manages all of his personal rental properties himself. He does everything from invoicing clients and collecting tenant payments to any maintenance issues that must be fixed and coordinating those repairs to be fixed to moving in tenants and moving out tenants. Todd is the rental master for SCREM and will help quote the correct rental rate for your propetry. He will assess your property and give you a rental price as is, or with any additional repairs or remodeling. Todd knows the right amount of repairs that need to be completed to get the property back on the market and rented as fast as possible.

DEPARTMENTS:

Property Managers:  This team is as professional and experienced as you will find.  With a combined 30+ years of managing properties with SCREM, they are your go to team for all issues relating to lease agreements, late payments, rent increases, overseeing maintenance and repair work, and so much more.

 

Maintenance Department:  Led by Shawn Gardiner who has over 5 years of experience managing property maintenance. This team handles all maintenance needs.  When a tenant or owner has a repair request, our maintenance team begins by diagnosing the repair, scheduling our vendor partners to make the necessary repairs, and follow up with the vendor to confirm completion.  Repair requests are made by going to our website www.SCREM.com and going to the Renters tab and Clicking on Schedule Maintenance.

 

Handyman Department:  We are proud to announce that SCREM has our very own handyman department to offer to our owners! This department is led by Shawn Gardiner, who has over 5 years experience managing and scheduling different vendors to all types of residential and commercial properties.

 

Marketing / Sales Department:  This team works with our property owners in setting rental rates, listing and marketing the properties on over 70 websites, and updating and providing feedback on how properties are performing in the market.

 

Leasing Department: This department is led by a team of Licensed Agents with over 10 years of combined experience with SCREM. Our Leasing Agents meet potential tenants at properties to show them the home and answer any questions someone may ask.  We never have a property showing without one of our licensed agents as a way of ensuring our owner’s properties are safe and secured.

 

Processing Department: This department has over 20 years of combined experience with SCREM. They are in charge of screening every rental application that comes in as well as checking credit and debt to income ratios.  Our process is extremely thorough and includes an owner review of applications so the best possible decision can be made in terms of finding a good tenant.

Southern California Real Estate Management, Inc. has a less than 1% eviction rate, and 90% of the tenants that we have had to evict were not placed in the property by our firm, but were existing tenants that we had taken over management of.  These tenants were screened and placed in the property by the owner, a realtor or another property management company. We take pride in our screenings and working with our clients on helping them navigate how to choose the best tenants for their property.

Accounting Department: This department has over 15 years of experience.  This team handles any questions related to tenant rent payments, owner distribution payments, or owner statements.  They can be reached directly by email at accounting@screm.com
